Laura Hartung

I'm Laura, bodypainter and photographer in the greater Lüneburg and Hamburg area. Since 2014 I have been standing between two worlds with camera and brush: capturing honest moments and creating something that wasn't there before.

My studio is in Winsen (Luhe), right on the A39: about 25 km from Lüneburg's old town and about 25 to 30 km from southern Hamburg. Most bodypainting and boudoir shoots happen here. For weddings, family pictures and reportage I come to you or to the location you have in mind.

What my work is built on.

Uniqueness

Every bodypainting, every reportage is made for exactly this one person. Nothing repeats itself, nothing is a template.
Beauty

I want you to see yourself in the pictures, not a version someone else would have expected. To me, beauty is what remains when the pose disappears.
Emotion

The most important things do not only happen in front of the camera, but before, during and after. In the prep talk, in a safe space, in trust. Only then does the moment open up that I want to capture.

How it all began

I started out with classic portrait and wedding photography. What struck me early on: the most honest pictures always appear when someone forgets that a camera is there. When the pose disappears. When a laugh is not a “for the photo” laugh.

To me, bodypainting is more than paint on skin: I work with you, not on you. During the hours in which I paint you, something special grows between us. Trust, curiosity, sometimes tears, often laughter. Honest conversations that can go deep. The paint on you underlines your feelings, your connection to your body and, above all, how special you are.

Today I photograph bodypaintings (my heart), weddings (with calm and an eye for special moments), families (preferably out in nature), boudoir (a safe space for sensuality) and business (portraits, food, editorial). What connects it all: an atmosphere in which you can be yourself, and special moments of your life, kept for ever.
